Blackstone Academy is a top private co-educational school (for boys and girls), that offers international standard education with a thrust for turning education from paper to practical and tangible results. We nurture students from Kindergarten, Junior and Senior Education levels, catering for day and boarding students in an environment with 21st century facilities bolstered by The British Cambridge syllabus for both the Junior and Senior levels. To enhance our students’ school experience, we offer co-curricular activities including clubs and sports that boost their soft skills including teamwork and innovation which are transferable skills required when they step out into the professional world.
With our favourable teacher to pupil ratio of 1:25 we are guaranteed to give utmost attention and care to the learning needs of every individual student.

Our Founder’s Story
Our institution was inspired by Mr. Peneti Ncube, whose vision took root after a friend in Bindura successfully established a school of his own. Born in Hwange and was based in Bindura, Mr. Ncube identified a significant gap in the education systems of Zimbabwe and the world at large. Motivated to address this gap, he committed to building an institution that would ignite raw talent into future global leaders.
After acquiring land in 2020 and doing preparatory works, construction began in 2024, with a five-year timeline to bring the full vision to life. The school is scheduled to officially open its doors in January 2026. Mr Ncube, a self-made entrepreneur who began his journey as a street vendor at the age of 19, has overcome numerous challenges to build a successful business career. Through this school, he aims to pass on his knowledge, skills, network, and entrepreneurial spirit to the next generation—instilling values of hard work, resilience, innovation, and leadership.

“IBWEDEMA LINOTUTUMA” translates to “THE BLACK STONE THAT GLOWS”, inspired by our location in Hwange which is well-known for its coal mining, producing the stone that is black. This black stone appears to be inferior when extracted, yet it glows when it is fired to create great value to the extent of lighting up the whole country exemplifying our need to dig out the hidden talents in each of our students ,refining them and make them assets on the local and international scenes.
Blackstone Academy shall roll out a number of CSR initiatives during all its holidays on a quest to improve community literacy, life skills and sportsmanship. It is often said that a journey of thousand miles begins with one step, so as a
school reaching out to the local community is a way to help those who need support and with that we will have a positive impact on the community and world at large.
